Amitabha Monastery
Amitabha Monastery, also known as Seto Gumba, is a stunning sight composed of white stones and adorned with local murals and frescoes. Sacred statues made from medicinal clay can be found here, and the Stupa looks breathtaking come sunset. The route is often frequented, so you may find some trustworthy hiking companions.
Kakani
This lovely journey takes you through the forests, leading to Kakani – a quaint hamlet close to Kathmandu. The path is smooth, gravely and has a minor climb, making it simple to trek. If you need to take a break, you can find numerous picnic sites and roadside stores to rest. Don’t forget to sample the local delicacies at Kakani!
Phulchowki
Phulchowki is the highest peak in the Kathmandu valley, giving you a stunning view from the top. As you make the climb, you’ll be surrounded by snow-capped hills, exotic birds and towering mountains. Once at the village, be sure to take a look at the Botanic Garden for some unique plants. You can also stay in hotels or camp at the designated locations.
Nagarkot Hike
